Responses to this mould breaking work continue to filter in.
On her Facebook page feminist critic Charlotte Moon said 'I was particularly impressed by the use of the tampon as a symbol of the way in which creative types use every opportunity to plug their works on the internet and have added a chapter on menstruation as metaphor to my five volume study of the seamy underbelly of Welsh absurdism, The Gripes of Rhys.'
'Suck it up bozos. Now you know how we felt about Girth Meringue,' opined a fan of rival author Shaun Husoff, who declined to be named in case he wished to reposition himself in the genre pecking order at some later date.
'It's almost as well written as Fifty Shades of Grey,' said Donna de Sade, Chairperson of the Silling & District Book Club and then added, with a twinkle in her eye, 'But a lot more kinky.'
Mr Peter Lodger, book reviewer for Black Stasis magazine, recanted his previous opinion that the collection was dreadful, declaring that in fact it was the most exciting work he'd seen in the horror field since the last most exciting work.
