Horror Black Static issue 28 out now

The Fifth Black Book of Horror

14th Oct, 2009

Author: Peter Tennant

Edited by Charles Black, the Black Book of Horror series is intended to partially fill the gap left in the lives of older horror readers by the departure of classic series of yesteryear, such as The Pan Book of Horror Stories, and also to attract new readers to the beloved genre.

I reviewed the first two books in the pages of Black Static, and very good they were too. Contributors with a Black Static connection include Gary McMahon, Joel Lane and Gary Fry, while among other familiar names propping up the various Table(s) of Contents are Paul Finch, Reggie Oliver, David A. Sutton, John Llewellyn Probert, Steve Lockley & Paul Lewis, L. H. Maynard & M. P. N. Sims, David A. Riley, D. F. Lewis and Mark Samuels.

Containing a 'traditional' thirteen tales, The Fifth Black Book of Horror has just been released, with a truly disturbing cover by artist Paul Mudie and, no doubt, the written contents to match, on top of which it is currently going for £2 off the normal retail price if purchased from the Mortbury Press website.
