Mayhem in Nottingham
Back in September Nottingham hosted FantasyCon, but with Halloween creeping up on us it's time for the Mayhem Horror Film Festival.
Based at the Broadway Cinema, 14 - 18 Broad Street, Mayhem was founded in 2004. With kick off on the evening of the 29th of October and a programme that runs through to the 1st of November, this year promises to be the biggest and best yet.
Films slated for screening include Hellraiser, Carrie, The Haunting (Robert Wise original, not the remake travesty) and Grace, plus many others. Among the celebrity guests attending are Black Rainbow director Mike Hodges and the cast and creators of BBC series Being Human. Other activities planned include a fancy dress party for the night of Halloween itself and the Mayhem Quiz of Doom.
