Grimm Up North

21st Oct, 2009

Author: Peter Tennant

Grimm Up North is a Manchester based horror film festival that runs from Thursday the 30th of October through to Sunday the 1st of November.

The venue is the Printworks arts and entertainment complex, which contains the Odeon Cinema and is situated in the heart of Exchange Square, next to the Arndale Centre. The Crowne Plaza is the official hotel for the festival and reduced rates are available to attendees.

Films slated for showing include Descent 2, Hellraiser, Bathory, Grace, Halloween, Dawn of the Dead and the intriguingly titled Vampire Girl Vs. Frankenstein Girl. There is also the premiere of full on zombie fright fest Autumn, based on the book of the same title by David Moody, which Gollancz will be publishing next year.
