If you fancy doing something different for the Halloween season, and you live in or can travel to Fareham in Hampshire, then the 28 Hours Later film festival, with its emphasis on the work of independent film makers, could be just the cup of gore you're looking for.
A lot has changed since we first mentioned this festival in the pages of Black Static. For one, the venue is no longer the W.I. Hut, circumstances having forced a relocation to the Lysses House Hotel in the centre of town (with discounted rates for attendees who want to make a weekend of it). And, also thanks to unforeseen circumstances, the festival won't run for the proposed twenty eight hours straight, though it will still be held over two nights, Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st of October, and there'll still be a wide selection of films for your viewing pleasure.
