New Releases from Drollerie Press

11th Nov, 2009

Author: Peter Tennant

Drollerie Press have released a selection of books in e-format, and at least one of them may be of passing interest to the horror aficianado.

The title of 'Straying from the Path' references the film 'The Company of Wolves' which was based on an Angela Carter story. And if that doesn't give the game away, then subtitle 'New Tales of Little Red' should. Edited by Deena Fisher and illustrated by Anna Repp, this is an anthology of poems and stories about Little Red Riding Hood. Contributors include Jo Thomas, Jennifer Moore, Fraser Sherman and Genevieve Valentine.

The other titles with a horror element (albeit possibly marginal) are 'Roads and Crosses' by Mary Borsellino, 'Defiance' - stories of strong women with unusual talents, set against the backdrop of the American Civil War - and 'Kinlea Keeper' by E. Grace Diehl.
