2009 Australian Shadows Award finalists
The short lists for Australia's premier dark fantasy and horror awards have just been announced, and you can read the full list by clicking on the link below.
Good to see both Kaaron Warren and Stephen M. Irwin, whose books I reviewed in our recent Australian horror feature (Irwin's novel is published as The Darkening in the UK) and consider among the finest novels of last year, in contention, and also the Stephen Clark edited anthology Festive Fear, which I reviewed in Black Static #14.
