If you're in Leicester this Saturday (the 17th of July), then the place to be is The Lansdowne, 121-123 London Road, where there will be a gathering of The Terror Scribes during the hours of 13:00 - 20:00.

The Terror Scribes are not an official body and there isn't a secret handshake (or if there is, I don't know about it - guess that's why they call it a 'secret handshake'). All you need to qualify is a healthy interest in horror and a readiness to party.

There will be the 'usual' events - drinking, eating, reading (bring a story if you're feeling brave), a raffle (bring a prize, if you have anything you'd care to donate) in aid of Edge, a charity dedicated to protecting species that are Evolutionary Distinct and Globally Endangered, and a chance to sell some of your own wares (bring those as well).

And it will all end, as these things so often do, with a trip to a curry house.
