Roz Clarke was born in Manchester and, having done most of her growing up in south London, later returned to the rainy city to study psychology. Skipping out of a career in IT, she survived the Clarion West writer’s workshop in Seattle in 2007 and graduated from a Masters in Creative Writing at the Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008. Her first story sale was to Black Static.
