It's the way they came out. I suppose I could make them smaller if you like. Well done either way.

Here goes- in case anyone might be interested I have a horror novelette called "Fabulous Beasts" coming out on 17th June from Tor.com. It's available to preorder as an ebook for about £1.

"Fabulous Beasts by Priya Sharma is a horror novelette about a strange woman living in luxury with her lover, but irrevocably tied to her childhood of deprivation and dark secrets in northwest England. The woman recalls the unravelling of the family upon her uncle's release from prison."

I'm pleased to say my novel "Church Of Wire" has now been published in both paperback and kindle formats.

Here's the blurb:

Ex-cop, Mordent, is an irascible, anachronistic PI with a noir sensibility and a bubblewrap fetish. Hired by the enigmatic Isabelle Silk to unearth dirt on a business associate, he becomes involved with Jessica – a floozy with a fake Southern Belle accent – and hunts the Residue Killer: a twisted individual intent on despatching survivors of previous serial killer attacks.

All the trails lead to the Church of Wire. Yet does this surrealist religious sect really lie at the heart of the killings?

Church of Wire is the second in a series of exciting crime novels putting a neo-noir twist on the genre conventions of bums and dames, corruption and perversion, and cops and informers; all played out on rain-soaked streets amid a shadow-filled city.

‘Beautiful prose, a razor sharp eye for detail, and chills aplenty. Hook rebirths the noir, but with a very hard darkness and a disturbing air of mystery.’ Paul Finch, author of Dean Man Walking

Praise for The Immortalists: ‘The interplay between Mordent and the other characters is a delight to read, as is the prose throughout with its hard boiled sensibilities, short sentences that cut like diamond on glass and metaphors as apposite as they are off kilter.’ Peter Tennant, Black Static

It'll never be cheaper!

Snippets from reviews:

"The tell-tale sign of great speculative fiction is that you are still thinking about it days after you finish reading. This has been the case for me with Moondust Memories. Highly recommended." (Dylan Hearn, 5* rating)

"In summary, 'Moondust Memories' is a rewarding read in the best possible way. A wonderful collection of thought-provoking and challenging stories that you will enjoy whether you're a fan of sci-fi or not." (Paul Laville, 5* rating).

"Intelligent and thought provoking short science fiction stories. Just my cup of tea." (Deborah Walker, 5* rating)

Those of you who subscribed to Interzone during the the pre-TTA Press era might recall reading a story of mine called A Walk in the Woods (issue 189, 2003). That story has just been reprinted in Postscripts 34/35 from PS Publishing, together with its sequel A Walk in the Rain (on its first publication).

Nice cover!

The current (and free!) edition of the StarShipSofa podcast includes a recording of my Mars-set SF story 'First and Third'. Voice artist Nikolle Doolin has done a marvellous job with my characters.

There's lots of excellent factual content in this podcast too. Well worth a listen.
