I don't know if anyone keeps records, but I'm pretty sure I've had Portugal before in a TTA football draw. I'm glad to be supporting one of the southern eurozone countries.

Hm. Italy good. Estonia or Bosnia not so good. Here's hoping that Italy doesn't get chucked out - they won't win but I've got a chance at a last four finish.

Well Italy certainly had a shocker against Russia, but - much like Germany - they're one of those teams you can never quite write off. The Italy that won the World Cup in 2006 had a pretty lacklustre start (though granted they had a fantastic defence and goalie).
I'm quite happy with the Netherlands, though I don't fancy them to win; they never seem to quite live up to their individual talents. Hope they play a bit more positively than they did against Spain in the World Cup Final though - that was disappointing.

I dunno, Jim - I reckon Italy are in trouble. They're making noble noises about pulling out but I don't think they will. And their only real hope for a bit of something special is...Mario Balotelli. So they'll not be boring to watch, but I don't see it coming together for them this year.
Des - I think you're right, I think you've had Portugal before.
Mike - I think you're on to a good bet with Holland. I fancy Van Persie to be the top scorer and I can see a final between them and Germany so their group game will be one to watch.

England! Oh no! I bet once again nobody's practiced their penalty kicks.

I've just reversed a policy of many years. I quite like the French, now.
I'm surprised Sweden are so low on the odds. Spain are erratic, the Germans still are not back to the glory days, Italy will be down to 9 men. Hmmm!

Is there even anyone left to play for England? Last I heard it seemed like everyone was either injured or suspended.

You need to lose a couple more players yet Lynda. Gerrard could have the courtesy to get injured, and thus reduce your chances of lumping the ball upfield, straight back to the opposition.
Meanwhile, I shall bone up on Russia. Reckon we should qualify from the group stage, and then who knows.

Germany! When they get to the final I can bet against them in the local betting shop so I can't lose.

Oh, bum, never liked Croatia - they were a bunch of foulers last time I was paying any attention to football. Never mind - luck of the draw!
