A launch for punkPunk! featuring author readings and two punk bands (one new, one authentic) has been fixed for Saturday 28th February 2015 between 2-6pm at the Hope & Anchor Pub in Islington, London. Tickets should be bought in advance to ensure this is a viable event. Ticket price includes the book. Get your tickets here: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/punkpunk- ... 5450656329

Ah, the Hope & Anchor! Can't make it to London, but will keep an eye on this - I'm wondering who the 'authentic' punk band is : )
Excellent concept for an anthology. Punk was life-changing for me, too.

We can now confirm that the main band playing at the "punkPunk!" launch will be Spizzology (formerly Spizzenergi, who had the first ever UK indie chart number one single with "Where's Captain Kirk" back in 1980). They will close the event, with anarchistwood opening and at least 7 authors from the book reading. Please book in advance as we need to ensure the gig is viable. £10 entry includes the book which retails at £12.99. It's a no brainer http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/punkpunk- ... 5450656329

We've now added a £5 ticket option for those who want to attend the event on the 28th Feb but who might not want to commit to buying the book until they've heard the readings. Thanks for facebook feedback regarding this. Now we have something for everyone! Booking in advance is still preferred: http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/punkpunk- ... 5450656329

Unfortunately we've had to cancel the launch of "punkPunk!" due to low advance ticket sales. Those who did buy tickets should now find their payment refunded. Disappointed about this, but of course the book is now available so please consider a purchase.

Stating the obvious here but this news is quite gutting, even though I couldn't be there. Any chance of it being rescheduled at some point; not as a launch of course, but to celebrate the theme of the book once it's out and about and folks have had a chance to read it?

Quite possibly - I'd still like to do some author readings at some point and am bearing this in mind. I was a little over ambitious, I think
