Well, Saturday's Low Energy Day, organised by Oli Smith and the crowd from London Underground Comics, was as successful for
Murky Depthsas any "real" convention we've attended. In fact it was better as the table space (ok, so you only get a 5th of a table) was just £5, and attendees/visitors didn't have to pay a penny. Not only that but purchasers of Murky Depths had their copies signed by Luke Cooper (Issue 5 cover artist) and Ed Norden, two regular contributors to Murky Depths - a big thank you to them too for making the appearance and standing with me (chairs, what are they?) from 10 am to 6 pm (missing a fabulously sunny day - but I would say that as I'm a Leo).
Low Energy Day was the second "big" event that LUC have organised, the first being No Barcodes, and there is talk of further events being held. As a dealer, it's not for the fainthearted. While Camden Lock Market is a great location, LED is crammed into a space off the main hall (where the weekly LUC table sits), and is usually just a walk-through, although there are permanent "shops" there two. But it was a hive of activity all day, and, if for some people, their sales were not brilliant, it gave everyone a cheap chance to show their wares.
When the next one is announced try to attend. It's worth it!
