Authors and books:-

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8424600.stm

As somebody who finds Jamie Oliver almost as irritating as Ant and Dec I am not pleased

And I think the sentence, 'Both Rowling and Brown exemplified a noughties phenomenon in literature, whereby the boundaries between adult and children's books slowly blurred', is either a sly dig at Dan Brown or a Freudian slip

Brown aside, the top ten fiction titles does seem a bit more literary than I would have expected.

It's a shame they didn't do a list of the genre awards.

Anyone know where I could find them? (all in one place, please, I am a lazy git at the mo  )

Gotta wonder about school and college reading lists though - having ordered hundreds of Kite Runners, Life of Pis, and Lovely Bones' over the last few years because they're on our study lists, I think my college alone has had an impact in those sales!

Am I alone in the whole wide world for hating the Kite Runner?!

Sigh...
