Last year Interzone regular Chris Beckett won this prize for his collection; The Turing Test from Elastic Press. Most of its stories were originally published in Interzone.

This year Chris is a judge for the prize and has more SF/horror/fantasy related material than his peers of 2009. The long listincludes collections from Charles Stross, Robert Shearman, David Constantine & Douglas Thompson.

The short list is now less than a week away so good luck Chris.

I'm sure all the books are good, but I have my fingers crossed for Douglas Thompson, who's supplied some fantastic stories to Theaker's Quarterly and Dark Horizons recently.
