The long list has been announced for the UK's most prestigious literary prize:-

Nope, me neither.

Mind you, I've only read one of the five novels on the British Fantasy Awards short list :cry:

I've read the Rose Tremain, but that's all.

I hadn't read many on the Fantasy Society shortlist either. But I comfort myself with having read a few on the longlist. I thought the Windup Girl and Fitch were outstanding.

I bet Martin Amis and Ian McEwan are sick as parrots, that they're not eligible for a Hugo or Nebula :lol:

And Margaret Atwood is sick as a parrot because everybody except her seems to think that she is :lol: :lol:
