I've read and enjoyed some books by D. Harlan Wilson, but that's pretty much the beginning and end of my acquaintance with the genre.

I have Sheep and Wolves by Jeremy c Shipp, which has some very enjoyable stories including one about a human bodypart vending machine!

DC have many alt. universe (that is 'other' than mainstream superhero comics) stories about evil Bizarro Superman from bizarro world.
