Watched it last night and was suitably impressed. Long time since I read the first book, but as far as I can recall it seemed pretty faithful, other than that the book was entirely from Sookie's perspective, so though we got to hear about stuff such as Jason's sexual antics it was never actually shown, as it was in the show - I wonder why they made that change, not that I'm complaining at all
I don't have sound on my computer, so last night was the first time I've heard the music that went with the opening credits, and it put a slightly different spin on them. Less sinister, more knowing, hipper. Anyway, I'm hooked, so that's Wednesday night taken care of for the next eleven weeks
