Looks like a cross between "Lost Boys" and "The Circus of Dr Lao". Also looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Out in the UK on the 23rd according to imdb. Also according to imdb the main character is a young boy called Darren Shan, so guess it must be based on his books.

It is. My girlfriend is looking forward to this one, given that she read his books when she was young. I'm not convinced myself, but I have to admit that John C Reilly looks interesting.

I recall I panned his first book in a review, when he was writing as Darren Shaughnessy. Think it was called "Ayumarca". Something like that. Recently been reissued, with a new title and 'by Darren Shan'.
