A banning was pretty much expected given the content - sexualised violence is a big no no for the BBFC. Interesting that both this and Human Centipede 2 are black and white films, attempts to be 'arty' obviously don't give you a free ride. From what I've heard (I haven't actually seen the film yet, and to be honest it looks pretty naff from the trailer) there isn't a speck of blood in the film anyway, but the makers have been touting its realism as a selling point, with the beatings and even brandings that the lead actress receives on screen being entirely real, which is hardly going to endear them to the BBFC.
