Am I the only Gilliam-fan who's a bit disappointed with this?
Yes, it's much better than
Brothers Grimm, and there's a truly great, central performance from little Jodelle Ferland, and much of the film's brooding atmosphere is well achieved, but... for all it's supposed views of 'horror' through the eyes of a child, I still thought it was an old man's film, and a tired old man at that.
