I notice they are or were looking for volunteer helpers. Has anyone ever done that?

I 'm not intending to volunteer myself, its a long way from here, but I wondered if they have the equivalent of a 'dealer's room'?

There is no programme up for 2007, yet, but of upcoming films I'd like to see this http://www.mimzy.com/kids/main.html though that "/kids/" suggests I'm likely to be disappointed.

The Last Mimzy

I was there two years ago to present my sisters documentary Chasing God. If Louis Savy is still the organiser, then I think he'll be happy to let you set up a small dealer's table in the foyer. Louis was a great chap.

There were only a couple of hundred people there, but I understand that they've been growing considerably. So definitely worth a try, I think.

Actually, I'd love to go myself, and if the sudden breakdown of my almost 30-year old warm water boiler, that now needs replacement in very short order, wasn't putting such a strain of my finances, I would go.

(Now I'm scraping money to get to EasterCon, as it is.)

I understand that "The Last Mimzy" is based on the Lewis Padgett (Henry Kuttner and C.L. Moore) story "Mimsy Were the Borogoves" (a quote from the Jabberwocky by Lewis Caroll), so it might be OK.
