I know 'everyone' says the book is no good, but the film is on TV this weekend.

Worth spending some time on, or just as bad?

It's over quicker, so that's a good thing. Might be worth a watch just for Hanks's hair...

Watch it and get it out of your system.

Don't read the book though. It's the only piece of fiction in recent memory that I literally threw across the room in disgust ... and then picked up and continued to read because shit as it was (and it was shit), it was the crack cocaine of plotting. And I am a hopeless narrative junky.

Yeah, I read "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" a long time ago, and I even read the sequel, though I can't remember what it was called, or anything much about it really.

I think Neil has convinced me, but Ray's reference to Hanks' hair is strangely off putting :lol:
