John O'Neil provides a quick review for Black Gate. He's obviously a man of taste who recognises what is most important in the magazine. :D

Yep, 'very hopeful', but why does she keep referring to four stories when she's listed five?

Gardner Dozois reviews Interzone 229 in the November Locus and says that Jim Hawkins’s Orchestral Manoeuvers in the Dark Matter is the strongest story. “This is a complex and chewy story, and it wouldn’t surprise me if some readers had trouble parsing it, particularily in the early going [...] Stick with it, though, and you’ll ultimately be rewarded.” He also says that the rest of the stories “include some worthwhile reading”.

Novelist, editor & critic Toby Litthas had 2 stories in Interzone the last in July-Aug 2010's IZ 229.
Toby has written songs with composer Emily Hall and now they've done a song cycle which Mara Carlyle will perform in the Purcell Rooms, the South Bank Centre, on Sunday 13th March @ 1pm. Use this link to hear a song and learn more. Tickets are £15 so if you're in London then why not go?

Toby said "this is something I'm really proud of, and it's something I'd love people to hear."

The sample song is, I think, a very beautiful and sparsely brave piece. Wish I could go to the concert. I hope they'll make the event available for downloading.
