Agreed. I thought that #228 had particularly impressive artwork, and this looks every bit as good. Can't wait to read it.

Received on the Island.

On this installment of WFC's cover-art montage...
Is it just me, or does the soldier with Union Jack balaclava seem like a reference to comicbook superhero Captain Britain? While the other gunman has a 'tusken raider' look about him. Hmm, a curious mix of influences there!

Mine has arrived too.
I think I'm going to take it on holiday with me next week.
Curiously enough I am off to the Isle of Wight.
does that mean there will be 2 copies on the island?

I do seem to be having difficulty entering the competitions though. I've tried from two different email addresses, and my emails are getting bounced back to me from both.

Only think that occurs to me Matt is that you tried before I'd set up the forwarder (the mailing was picked up on Wednesday, didn't expect it top be delivered on Friday!). Unless I set up the forwarder wrong. Please try again.

Btw, did your missing issue turn up in the end?

Yeah, I thought I'd emailed to tell you that it had arrived. I guess I forgot, it was when I was moving back home from uni for the summer, so everything was a little hectic. But thanks for your help with that.

I'll give the competitions another go now :)

Well Candy Moments takes the sting out of getting my Tabula Rasa story rejected - I can pretend it's because it's incredibly similar!

Really enjoyed narrative voice of The Melancholy and its overall tone, and Alternate Girl's Expatriate Life shines the spotlight on a patriarchal society in an enjoyable way.

I also really liked Nick Lowe's view on Iron Man 2, so much so that I'm tempted to watch the film now having previosuly dismissed it.

Just Jim Hawkins's story left to read now...
