The shortlists for the 2010 BSFA Awards can be found here.

Congratulations to everyone, but especially to Nina Allan ('Flying in the Face of God', Interzone 227) and Aliette de Bodard ('The Shipmaker', Interzone 231) for making the short story list.

Huge congratulations to both Nina and Aliette, and slightly smaller congrats to the other contenders.

Well done to all the authors. (And I have a particular soft spot for Aliette. )

We hope our artist, Charles Harbour, does well. Very excited he made the list.

Is it just me, or has this been nominated for quite a few things now? Somewhere along the line I may have missed a figurative boat.

Hearty congratulations to everyone on the list. I loved the Nina Allan story - an amazing work of character creation and convincing use of emotion.

Both IZ stories got picked up by Gardner Dozois for his Year's Best.

Aw, thanks everyone!
I agree with Ilan: the Nina Allan story was awesome--a sheer piece of brilliance.

Er, not that I know of? It's been picked up by another Best, Allan Kaster's Top Ten Tales of Science Fiction 3 (audiobook/ebook version), though. I don't have a TOC, but I've seen that Peter Watts and Ian MacLeod ("The Things" and "Re-crossing the Styx", respectively) would be in there as well.

Starship Sofa has podcast the two Interzone stories (and IZ regular Neil Williamson's shortlisted story).

Don't know what happened to the fourth story, though.
