Post subject: | READERS' POLL: Vote for your favourite stories/art of 2011 |
We're asking you to let us know what you enjoyed (and what you didn't) during 2011. To be eligible the story or artwork must have been published in Interzone issues 232 to 237 inclusive. A list of eligible stories and artworks is below. As always, we're as keen to hear your opinions of the magazine as we are to get your votes, so don't be shy in letting us know what you think – and we may publish the most interesting comments. There are four ways to cast your votes: • Use the form on the Readers' Poll page in the Interzone section of the website • Post them to the Interzone/TTA Press address • Email them to interzonepoll [at] ttapress [dot] com • Leave comments on this forum thread As usual with the Interzone poll you can vote both positively for the stories and artworks you liked and negatively for those you didn't, and we'll rank the final choice according to the aggregate score. You can vote for as many or as few stories as you like. The results will be published in issue 240, so please make sure your votes are in before March 31st. At SFX Weekender I tried to sell lots of recent issues and the cover of IZ 234, Relics, seemed to be favourite of last year's issues amongst those buying the magazine on spec. Several punters took that because they liked the cover when going for the mix and match 3 for £10 option. I had no 232's to display but the other 5 2011 issues were all present. If people were buying on covers the SFX Weekender order of merit would be 234 Relics 237 Babel 11 233 Omega 236 Beacon 235 Divergence So it's true everyone loves a Royal Wedding. |

Now that the results are out, you can read my top ten here, for what it's worth (it says top five in the intro but I got a little carried away). http://probablymonsters.wordpress.com/interzone-poll/ |

Have I missed something Ray? The link doesn't seem to take to any thoughts on your favourites. |

That's weird, it should take you to my blog where I've listed what I liked from last year. I'll try to sort that. |

It works for me, Roy. Nothing special, just my blog top and then scroll down to a list of my top seven of 2012 (and further down for other years). |

I linked to here http://probablymonsters.wordpress.com/2 ... l-of-2012/ but there was no obvious list or text beyond the intro paragraph. However I found more by linking through the sidebar comment list. |

Five of my seven made the top ten, but my top favourite didn't make it at all. Not sure what that says about my taste. ![]() |
