Yeah, but the Americans award themselves two issue numbers for their 'double' issues, which means they count twelve issues per year instead of ten.
If Interzone can count all of the magazines that amalgamated with it, such as REM and Million, then the numbers also go up. And there are the Interzone anthologies, some of which published original fiction. So it goes.
Mind you, New Worlds published quite a few anthologies that fall outside its own numbering system, and it also amalgamated with SF Impulse/Science Fantasy. It's worse than stamp collecting, this business.
