Assuming I ever did something really impressive, like cure cancer or the common cold, or something, you know which photo they'll pull out? Yep. The one of me asleep at FCon have imbibed ever so slightly too much... I'm aiming to learn some form of self control for next time!

If you can cure the common hangover, we'll definitely overlook it...

I can do that. Simply use either a) more booze (not often recommended if I'm honest) or b) ibuprofen and sleep. There. Can I get my adulation now?

Hmm...in that case, I'm moving my mattress into the bar for FCon next year. Kill two birds....heh heh!
Now, where's the 'we are not worthy' smiley...

I'll be ordering mine on pay day - it's never seemed so far away, having read the author notes...

Oops. That was a reply to the last post of page one. Still, point is my appetite is well and truly whetted for Never Again.

Hi everyone, thought I'd join in this conversation to say how much I enjoyed the launch at Fantasycon (a touch of RSI from all that signing's a teeny price to pay, eh?) Thanks to those who've already written reviews - and I'm eargerly awaiting the next Black Static to read Pete's (as well as for the usual reasons).

I'm coming up with a new sales strategy here: we commision an anthology with 10,000 short stories by 10K authors. Then get Pete to review it in Black Static so we sell an extra 10 K copies for a year or two as he works his way down the toc. He obviously can't review in the order of contents to make sure no one can guess when their review appears.

Are you talking about a sales strategy for Black Static, you mean? Problem with that idea is that most of us are already subscribers!

Rosanne, I think that's the least of the problems with Roy's plan
And I always send out PDFs of the Case Notes section to editors and publishers, which I assume they'll pass on to their contributors, so nobody has to buy a copy to find out what was said, though of course it's great if they do.

Not the same without a proper hard copy. Who would want to show off a good review on their iPhone or Kindle? You save those for the bad ones.

Many thanks Des for the review!
And in particular I must thank you for the comments on my story, even though I didn't quite understand them all... I thanked you on Facebook too, then realised you'd suspended your account a while ago.
Any chance you're coming back to FB?
Rosanne
