Got my copy yesterday. Imagine my surprise when, upon looking at the cover, I saw the very street on which I live!!

I bet that's a TTA first . . .

Happens to a different reader every issue Gary - Andy's way of reminding people whose sub is due for renewal that he knows where they live.

Only dipped into it so far, but really enjoyed the anthology reviews - makes you wonder why people keep thinking the short story is dying...

Also liked the imagery in Joel Lane's story - there was a lot of good stuff there, nice recognisable nightmare tropes plus some that will stick after reading (a crow with mould on its wings? great!). There's so much, in fact, that the short story feels more like a short film.

Art work is, as usual, amazing.

I too read the anthology feature first the reviews were great and a very interesting interview with Mr Jones.

Only read the Steve Rasnic Tem story so far and it really disappointed me i'm afraid. Don't get me wrong it was up to his usual high standard, and I was thouroughly gripped by the narrative, but the ending left me perplexed and I even thought the end must have been left off by accident as the small bio wasn't at the end as it usually is.

Got the latest issue through the post the other day there, cunningly taking out a dual subscription along with "Interzone" (okay I got Roy-ed). Previously I had bought my copies at "Transreal" in Edinburgh, Scotland's best horror/fantasy/science fiction book shop (sorry Mike, for losing you that sale, but at least you got a plug). Started reading the articles and reviews last night in the bath (too much information you scream!!!!), and the beachcombing story later in bed. Looking forward to finishing the rest of the issue over the weekend.

Ian

Arrived in SW France today - can't tell if it smells as good as usual, 'cos I've got a cold.

I thought the idea was to read and write horror, not live it?

Gary, I think you really have to worry if it's the same cover image next issue, only the three characters have moved closer...
