^ Maybe a Battle Royale would be better - they all get explosive collars and the one with the fewest publications at the end of the year... kaboom!

Thanks, but Pete's top ten has made it competitive enough as it is, I don't fancy the added pressure of kaboom! thank you!

Just checked out the Acceptances page, and another story from Ray, which will push him into second place on six, breathing down Daniel Kaysen's neck.

And another from Ali, who will break from the pack on four.

This is exciting. We probably need a no prize for the first person into double figures.

Andy now appears to have eight stories in stock. This is probably an all time high.

And post #25 this is how it looks at the top, with movement from Cluley and Littlewood:-

Daniel Kaysen - 7
Ray Cluley - 5
James Cooper - 5
Joel Lane - 5
Tim Casson - 4
Carole Johnstone - 4
Tim Lees - 4
Alison J. Littlewood - 4
Steve Rasnic Tem - 4
Nina Allan - 3
Gary McMahon - 3
Tony Richards - 3
Lynda E. Rucker - 3
Simon Kurt Unsworth - 3

I suspect Christopher Fowler may also have moved onto the board with three credits, but I can't check as my index is backed up on disk at the moment and I don't feel in the mood to go and load it onto the computer.

Just noticed another title from Carole Johnstone in the 'Story Acceptances'.

Ray, she's snapping at your heels.

I know. I'll have to drop drawing pins or something. Or make a desperate lunge for Mr Kaysen.

Although it looks like God of Gaps has been moved over to Interzone - glad I subscribe to both. I was wondering what happened to that one, it was on the Black Static list a while back. Looking forward to it, wherever it appears.

Yeah, I've noticed that you're both moonlighting over at IZ.

Damn it, Ray, I was hoping Pete wouldn't notice!

And here's the situation after #26:-

Daniel Kaysen - 7
Ray Cluley - 6
James Cooper - 5
Carole Johnstone - 5
Joel Lane - 5
Tim Casson - 4
Tim Lees - 4
Alison J. Littlewood - 4
Gary McMahon - 4
Steve Rasnic Tem - 4

Movement from both Cluley and Johnstone, with the former now within touching distance of Kaysen, while McMahon scores his fourth BS credit, which means I can now have a Top Ten contributors list which actually consists of ten contributors (oh joy :P ). Sorry, but three credits is no longer good enough to stay on our leader board.

Not saying you shouldn't be keeping track...
8)
But this is starting to look like a publisher's league table, and we might have writers asking for a productivity bonus!
