My thoughts exactly! It's put paid to the idea of me getting any work done before I go back to Uni, though ;) :P

I'm pleased to see that there is a return to reviewing novels this month.
Although all the stories seem a bit short?

I'm starting to feel remarkably privileged for receiving my issue so 'early'. Read it cover to cover now, and another very strong issue with some imagery I'm not going to forget for a long time.

Personal favourite was Norman Prentiss' 'The Covered Doll' - beautifully written from the child's point of view.

Still not received my copy, here in South Yorkshire...I think there must be huge problems with Royal Mail still.

Still no sign in Cheltenham. However bills seem to be immune to the failings of Royal Mail.

I've spent the last few days talking to royal mail, on and off. Not recommended. Will update further shortly, and I reckon I'll quote and give contact details for the person I spoke to, even though he insisted that I mustn't.

But in short, yes, there are still huge problems, which I guess only affects 'mailsort' (your subscription copies are post code sorted by us before they're picked up) given that 'ordinary' stuff posted a few days ago seems to arrive with no problem at all. It seems obvious to me that mailsort sacks were just dumped somewhere and forgotten about.

I think we've all been very patient because of the the conditions etc, but some people have been waiting almost a month now, which just isn't good enough for you, and which obviously impacts TTA business.

I was assured the other day that remaining copies would arrive "within the next few days", so I suggest we wait just a little bit longer, and then see if we can replace any copies still missing -- and meanwhile continue to try for some sort of useful response from royal mail.

The library of the college where I teach now stocks Black Static, so hopefully with all those young minds to influence (corrupt?) you may see a few more subscriptions...
