Thoroughly enjoyed this issue, particularly the columns which were all entertaining.
As for the fiction, "The Lonely Heart" was an intriguing mix of myth and fate, very well-written and a great opener to the magazine. "The Plain" was another favourite, a nice bit of satire very nicely done. "Haunt-Type Experience" was almost impossible to pin-down, subverted my expectations as to how the story would progress, but didn't end quite as satisfactorily as I hoped. Daniel Kaysen is a writer whose work I'm finding to be particularly brilliant, but whilst "The Pain of Blue Eyes" started very strongly, I felt that it concluded with too much inevitability. Plus the actual change in the eyes seemed a little far-fetched to me, and didn't really need to be there. "Changeling" was an excellent story - I liked the almost jumbled nature of the prose, it felt organic in the writing, as though the shifts in landscape described had spilled out onto the page. The determination of the main character to the point of unquestioned obsession together with the flux inherent in the situation drove the story with passion. Finally, "Fear", despite a little clumsy in places, ended the issue on a strong note. A simple story simply told but with great effect, regardless of whether the end could be seen from a mile off. Looking forward to the next issue
