You are a very lucky man! (And your deodorant smells nice.)
Currently listening to Who Killed Amanda Palmer by Amanda Palmer...

I reckon Andrew was here, or at one of them, or would like to have been.

(Seems to be a few versions of this on youtube, including what I assume is the 'official' one, but from a qick visit I like this one best.)

I saw them several years ago. Poly Styrene wasn't singing with them at the time, and they'd replaced her with a six-foot-tall blonde. It put a whole new spin on songs like 'Genetic Engineering'.

Weird gig. I think the audience knew the words better than Poly Styrene, and for a band who hadn't played in fifteen years they certainly hadn't taken that long practising. However it was good fun

Half Man Half Biscuit are playing in Norwich Weds night (but I'm seeing The Stranglers on Monday night and can't afford both). Haven't heard anything recent, but have the Trumption Riots 12" and the Back From The DHSS album. Both classics!

For the last week I have been listening to Arvo Pärt's choral music. One of the most beautiful works for multiple voices I have ever heard is his CANTATE DOMINO CANTATUM NOVUM. It's melodic as can be, easy to listen too, and technically perfect.
I discovered Pärt, who almost single-handedly put Estonia on the cultural world-map, thanks to a young Danish philosopher, violinist, music theorist, and all-round fine person.

Hi George, I don't know his choral music very well, but Pärt's "Summa" is one of my favourite instrumental pieces.
