I'd go for Steve Mason's "Monkey Minds in the Devil's Time", how about you?

Have to say Biffy Clyro's Opposites has had me (metaphorically) waving my lighter in the air for most of the year but my choice as the best of the year goes to the Manics with Rewind the Film - a pretty big departure from everything they've done so far but brilliant nonetheless.

Off the top of my head, I'd say the Manics album too.

The albums I've listened to most this year were >>, Drokk, and Between the Times and Tides, all from 2012. Favourite albums from 2013 are turning up in a lot of lists: Random Access Memories, The Next Day and Reflektor. I liked Who Is William Onyeabor? a lot, too.

The new Prefab Sprout album Crimson/Red is also excellent.

"Costa Blanca" by des Liminanas.

Go here and listen to "My Black Sabbath".

I believe this proves I am right.
