I've been having problems with Adobe Acrobat and am thinking of trying a different free pdf reader. But the reviews I've read online are so contradictory and off-putting. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I've generally been impressed by Foxit Reader, which is speedy and free with very inobtrusive ads. At the moment, though, I'm using PDF-XChange Viewer, which also seems good.

They are both considerably faster than the bloated Adobe Reader, although they lack its more esoteric features...

Thanks, Shaun - I'll try those. All I need is a straightforward reader, so lack of esoterica is good news.

My first book, published by Gollancz in 1995, was a collection of funny press cuttings called "Cannibal Victims Speak Out." It’s been out of print for years, but I’m pleased to say it’s now available, extremely cheaply, as a multi-format e-book at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/102004, or from your usual e-book supplier.

I have decided to overthrow capitalism by writing a novella about monsters. Can't think why this hasn't been tried before, really.

Anyway, "Till You Drop" is available FREE until the end of August as an e-book from:

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/213070

It can be downloaded from that site in all the usual formats, and if you haven't got an e-reader you can get it in PDF or plain text for reading on your computer.

Do you want me to post a link on the TTA Facebook page Matt?

I've got it for the White Noise news feed on the 13th, Roy, so it should show up on Facebook automatically then.
