All subscriber and contributor copies of IZ235 (July-August) are now in the post and hopefully should arrive at all UK destinations within the next few days and all overseas destinations within a week or so. (If you live in Canada or France: fingers crossed!) Please let us know when your copy arrives.

Details of the issue are on the Current Issue page of the Interzone section.

This issue sees the reintroduction of lifetime subscriptions for Interzone, which we've extended to Black Static and both magazines combined. These have been added to the form in the middle of the magazine and also to the online shop. The latter was a pain -- that's a real clunky piece of software and the way the new subscriptions are shown is the only way I could get it done (the experts who built the thing agree). If you spot any mistakes, or anything else that you think might be just plain wrong, please say on this thread, or privately if you prefer.

We hope you enjoy the issue and look forward to reading your comments here.

Landed in Edinburgh today. Mine always arrives on a Saturday - I'm impressed!

There goes any plans I had for writing today!

Okay, who shouted out 'Thank God for that...' :(

Issue #235 has reached Bracknell... though I have to say I'm not too keen on the cover. It's well put together, slick and obviously as artwork it's way beyond anything I could ever do, but
the Flying Saucers in Crop Fields is a bit too Fortean Times or X-Files for my tastes. I can't remember reading any stories in Interzone that feature Flying Saucers, even in an ironic sense!

Still looking forward to reading the inside bits though. Got a test to revise for this week first!

Apologies -- especially to Gareth -- for the mistake in the opening paragraph of 'Eleven Minutes'. I have no idea how it happened but some time after layout, after proofreading, a couple of words were accidentally deleted from the middle of "someroom". Sorry about that.

The sense isn't completely ruined though. Carl and Gary are in a room somewhere in that building. Just not in someroom.

Arrived in the wilds of South Yorkshire yesterday. Just hadn't had chance to boast about it. Or read it!

Re: >someroom

I wondered about that. Read (and enjoyed) Gareth's story last night and stumbled over that para before going on. In the end I just assumed I was being stupid.

it wasn't a big obstacle to enjoying the piece though.

Really enjoyed Mercurio D. Rivera and Gareth L. Powell's stories. Brilliant. :D

Well I for one am going to start using "someroom".

Makes perfect sense to me.
