It's a bit late, but I dug out the DVD of Ghostwatch for a cheeky reviewing, and gave the BBC's dramatisation from a few years back of The Turn of the Screw.

The first doesn't really require my assessment, but the second was alright. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything outstanding. A little distracting that cast members of Downton Abbey kept cropping up, but they've got to go somewhere I guess.

We saw "Wolf Creek" which I thought was pretty classy and understated. Then watched Woody Allen's "Celebrity" which was a bit of a car crash too.

I liked this, but I've only watched it once as I found it very uncomfortable. Which was the point, I guess, so well done them. I keep meaning to watch it again as research for something but keep putting it off...

I went for a classic, Roger Corman's Matheson scripted Poe anthology vehicle "Tales of Terror", which was marvellous fun, especially the adaptation of "The Black Cat/Cask of Amontillado", with Vincent Price and Peter Lorre in fine form. Planned to make a night of it with "The Raven" and "The Masque of the Red Death" also, but life got in the way and tempus fugged it
