The new issue has gone to press and will begin to mail out in about a week. Details will appear on the Black Static > Current Issue page soon, but it contains new stories by Gord Sellar, Simon Bestwick, V.H. Leslie, Stephen Bacon, and Jacob Ruby, with colour illustrations by Mark Pexton, David Gentry, Dave Senecal, George Cotronis, and Rik Rawling, plus all the usual comment columns and reviews, and an interview with Alison Littlewood.
We don't seem to be getting much feedback on these forums lately, but we look forward to reading any comments you have. And don't forget to let us know when your copy arrives.
If you're already a subscriber please check the insert in issue 26 for a subscription reminder and renew in plenty of time if necessary. Thanks.

Looking forward to all of this, especially the Littlewood and Gardner stuff. And I think the Old Friends idea is a goodun.

All UK and overseas subscriber/contributor copies are now in the post. Please let us know when your copy arrives, especially given the recent poor performance of our overseas mail. (We're working on a fix for this, btw, which might be in place in time for IZ239.)
Meanwhile, another teaser for the issue... As usual, Tony reviews a lot of new and forthcoming DVDs/Blu-rays in his Blood Spectrum column, including Tyrannosaur and Perfect Sense. He widens this coverage to talk about British cinema as a whole, and praises a certain bogus trailer for its "meticulous satire on all that’s terribly wrong with low-budget British movies".
I hadn't seen it before (though over 62,000 others had), so I thought I'd post it as a reference for fellow latecomers. Kevin Curtis is a Dead Man.

Ha, that bogus trailer is great. I've seen Tyrannosaur. Not sure what Tony thought of it, but I thought it was quite powerful and affecting. The performances were stellar.

I'm really glad its only just gone into the post. I thought I'd opened it a couple of weeks ago and lost it and nearly turned my house upside down looking for it this evening (well the recycling box anyway).
Having just caught up with Black Static 26 which was remarkably good I was going to start that. But It looks like I'll have to go at Interzone instead

Arrived in Edinburgh yesterday complete with the free gift of a form rejection for my recent story submission. Looking forward to reading (the magazine, not my rejection slip...)

Finished my real-time review of the five stories. A perfect gestalt.

Flippin eck that's fast - mine hasn't even arrived yet!
Couldn't help reading your review though. Now I really can't wait for mine to arrive.
