Out now. Trailer here:-

Is it just me, or does this look like a patch up of scenes from a dozen other horror films?

Joss Whedon had a hand in it.

I do like the movie's poster artwork...

Looks a bit like the sort of thing that'd suit Black Static.

Andy's TTA office could be in the basement or the top floor!

I think the patch up is deliberate, some sort of comment on genres, but can't swear to it as I've avoided as much of the hype as possible so I can see it as it's meant to be seen. I do like a lot of his stuff though, and also love that poster.

I liked it, although I didn't think it was revolutionary as most of the reviews made out. Mind you, I watched Piranha 3-D the other day and that got pretty good reviews when it came out so if that's what critics consider a decent horror film then I understand why they wet themselves over an actual decent horror film like Cabin.

No I wouldn't have said it was revolutionary either, though 'unexpected' would probably cover it. :D

I went along with some pals who are not really horror fans, and it was great how much discussion it generated among them afterwards!

Yeah, it's great to talk about in person. Online I have to keep biting my cyber-tongue so as not to give anything away.

I saw this last night and thought it was wonderful. Lots of treats for a horror fan, though I worry those not familiar with the genre will miss all the in jokes and deliberate cliches and take it at face value. I loved it.
