Another good issue. I was interested to read the Moorcock stuff, not having read any of his work before. I tend to agree with one of the blog reviewers that the extract came over better than the short story - which I thought lacked subtlety in places.
My favourites this time were 'Exvisible' (Carlos Hernandez) and 'Knowledge' (Grace Dugan). The latter I thought I wasn't going to like, as the premise was a bit fantasy-ish for my SF-wired brain; but the way it played out was interesting, and probably more related to traditional SF themes of time paradoxes and free-will vs determinism than anything.
Ahmed A. Khan's short piece gave me a good chuckle, too - and it's nice to see someone playing around with form in an SF context.

Continued fom July 18.
Back in Waterstones, Deansgate yesterday (1st August) and no copies, of IZ 211, left, well at least none visible where they were on 18th July.
Question is how do I get them to stock more?

Strictly as a last resort, you understand ...

I think you're making a mistake, going with a breach-load rather than a magazine. Sometimes there are more than two people, you understand.

Perhaps he was planning on bludgeoning people with the butt - and thus ruining the sights for anyone else who might take the gun from him.
Not that I've thought this through, honest.

Whoa! Waterstones Deansgate are the good guys. They stock Interzone and display it on the counter by the till.
Any violent threats should be reserved for W H Smug who want £1000's to stock us for 3 months in a few stores.

Bleeding Nora! They must be haemorrhaging business to have to grasp for cash like that.

Yeah. It's easy being a pacifist when you're big. It's the 4' high ones who have my admiration.

But seriously, I can vouch for Paul: like most -- let's call it, for lack of a better all-encompassing term -- alternative music aficionados, he looks like every mother-in-law's nightmare, but will not hurt a fly.
Not that I would know such things from personal experience...

Jetse, my friend, in the land of the back-handed complement, you are a king.
(And BTW Jim; I'm six foot tall, but next to the Dutch Beer-Machine himself, I look like a midget! )
