Captain: I enjoyed this line in particular: "Streets of casserole dishes become imaginary lines and the new world." By the way, my partner edits a print poetry magazine ( www.fur-linedghettos.weebly.com) which you might like to check out. Issue 4 is currently at the printers.

I remember that line being the source of some disagreement in class, some liked it others didn't like how I tried to tie in geographical references.

Free Promotion on Smashwords (also Kobobooks.com)My short story Xana-La is now free to download as an ebook short story. This story was originally published in Allen Ashley's anthology Where Are We Going?, published a couple of years ago by Eibonvale Press. https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/416108This is the short story that inspired me to write my forthcoming novel Hairy London, which will be published very soon by Infinity Plus. Enjoy! "An interesting and well written adventure story, which reminded me a bit of good old-fashioned adventure stories" (Rising Shadow) "This irreverent story is full of eccentric chaps, and gleaming with brass." (Warpcore) "... exuberantly off the wall... a glorious tale of adventure and derring do, as explorers set off to a mythical land simply to prove its existence, but in doing so must take on the laws of time and space, the whole thing gleefully over the top and informed by a pseudo steampunk sensibility." (Black Static)

Hi guys, I posted the following on Facebook for friends only but I don't "know" all of you on there - however, I know you may attend things like Satellite 4 and Edge Lit, so I thought I'd extend the post to you on this thread... (Yeah, shitty preamble. Hard to believe I occasionally get paid for writing). Quote: Okay, people, here's an offer you may want to refuse! One of my short stories is in the new AMOK: An Anthology of Asia-Pacific Speculative Fiction from Solarwyrm Press. Here's the link spam: Solarwyrm Press page here: http://solarwyrm.com/books/amok/On Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20741911-amokOn Amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0980508444/As a contributor, I have the possibility of getting books at discount. Thing is, it's easiest to either have my contributor copy or to have a box (with 27 other copies) - despite wanting to have three or four for giveaways. However, I'm in poor financial state, so I can't afford to get the box without knowing that most or all of the books have a home to go to. This is open to friends and family only. I'm thinking of selling them on at £6 and will deface them with my initials if you so desire. There would have to be extra for postage and packaging but I haven't worked out how much that would be, yet. Rehoming attempts will be restricted to the UK as it'll probably work out as cheap for you to use Amazon further afield. The easiest thing would be a handover if you're attending cons and swordy weekends with me. Satellite 4, SWASH - as a member of the public, and Edge Lit are the next things on my calendar. Be aware that this means you're going to need to collar me as I'm crap at recognising people. (Which is why this is a friends and family only.) Would anyone be interested in a copy?
