Still no sign of it in Brighton. And I'm getting my mail. And I emailed my new address.
Very disappointed.

Rafala, I've received no such email from you (lately, that is -- see below). Did you email after the magazine was mailed? Hopefully you've got forwarding, and that might be the cause of the delay. I imagine there's a massive backlog of ordinary mail as well, and that won't be helping. Please PM me via this forum with your old and new address. Thanks.
PS: I did receive a COA on the 11th November, and that's the address I've been using. Please PM me so we can be sure. Naturally a replacement copy will be sent as soon as we're sorted.
PPS: I should call you Carmelo, not Rafala -- didn't mean to be rude, just assumed it was a handle and not your actual name.

I'm 10-or-so miles along the coast from Brighton, and haven't received my copy yet either. Anyone in Sussex got theirs? I'm hoping it's just the backlog from the postal strikes.

No worries, Andy. And I sent you that PM you requested.
Thanks for the response.

Still no joy in Michigan. I'm sure it's worth the wait, though.

I'm in Brighton central and I've not received it yet either. I'm hopeful both IZ and BS will turn up this week (or that the postie enjoyed reading them).

Good to know it's here in Brighton. That gives me hope.
I know Andy mailed out a copy to me. Mow it's just a matter of when.
I do find it odd that I've been getting all my other mail.
Maybe the postman is reading it...

Maybe the postman is reading it... A dialogue with my postman on Tuesday: Quote: Me: "Oh, so you guys are back to work, then?"
Postie: "Most of us, yeah."
Me: "That's a relief. No disrespect for your cause, but it's been pretty tough on people who rely on the mail for their business."
Postie: "Sure. Not to worry, though - we're focussing on anything normal-letter sized first to clear the backlog, then we'll get on to the bigger stuff."
Me: "..."
I'm lucky, my IZ came through before the strike hit by some freak of chance. However, my editors at the music sites I write for, and the PR companies they work with ... well, let's just say there's a massive shortage of Valium and blood pressure medicines right now.

I wonder if that explains the delay here overseas. The posties holding up the first issue because it's not the right size and focusing on the internal letter stuff.

Quote: Postie: "..we're focussing on anything normal-letter sized first to clear the backlog, then we'll get on to the bigger stuff." That sounds like PO routine... I get deliveries on strike days but usually just letters, not parcels (unless stuff is already on the Island). Yeah, I found the same thing.
Had several calls and emails that start: "Grrr!"

The IOW is a point in case of how utterly borked the Royal Mail really is. You're probably aware already, Tony, but for the others, allow me to point out that, because the entire Isle Of Wight comes under the Portsmouth postal region, a letter posted on the Isle Of Wight has to go to the Portsmouth sorting office before it can be delivered.
EVEN IF IT'S ADDRESSED TO SOMEONE ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT.

Yep, I remember local protests, years back, when they changed it from Island sorting to England first. Does the world make any sense nowadays?
