|
|
Black Static and Interzone subscribers will see that the order form in Black Static 3 and Interzone 215 has been updated to include a couple of boxes for pre-ordering the hardback and paperback editions of Islington Crocodiles. I just wanted to make sure that you understand that you're only registering your interest by ticking one or both of these boxes. It does say that you won't be charged, but I wanted to stress that this doesn't mean that you will be charged, at least not until prices have been confirmed, your full agreement given and the book is actually published. Only then will any transaction actually take place.
Pre-ordering is encouraged as this gives us a good idea of demand, and means you're far less likely to miss out on, say, the extra special, extra limited edition hardback. |

| OK. I will want the hardback, but I think I need to renew my subs anyway so I'll send along the order form for everything. |

Your interest is greatly appreciated, guys. I got this great blurb from my mate, Tim Lebbon. If you haven't checked Tim's stuff out you'd do well to start with Berserk. An absolute blinder. Check him out at http://www.timlebbon.net/
Tim says, "Meloy's voice is startlingly original, his stories both shocking and beautiful, and this book is destined to become a classic."
Be nice to think so. Thanks, Tim! |

| Put me down for a paperback. I'd love a hardback, but I bet the paperback's more within my budget. |

The book can now be bought from the website's secure shop. Everybody who has already pre-ordered will get priority -- you know, in case we sell out or anything!
It's currently in demy paperback format only, priced £9.99, 200 pages, with Art by Vincent Chong, Introduction by David Mathew and Foreword by Graham Joyce.
Publication date is 19th September 2008. |

No hardback Chris, sorry, just the demy paperback.
Expecting delivery of the book on the 11th September. Copies can and will be dispatched immediately, but it will also be at Fantasycon on the 19th, as will the author and other contributors, so if you'd prefer to pick up your copy there and get it signed (rather than risk the mail man not delivering it in time), and you haven't told me already, please just let me know.
"This is different and original. This is out-there writing which is deeply subversive. What’s more, Paul Meloy is one of the very few writers who can make me laugh but at the same time want to look over my shoulder." Every sentence of Graham Joyce's remarkable introduction to Islington Crocodiles is quotable...
Also arriving on the 11th is Crimewave 10: Now You See Me and Interzone 218. Same thing applies.
But make allowances for my dodgy memory and poor admin skills! |

Awww, but the hardback of "Alison" is such a lovely thing... please reconsider.
Anyway, I'll pick up a paperback at FCon. |

I hear you Chris, but too late now, sorry. Maybe one of the future reprints will be a hardback. |
