Now that set off alarms on my world crisis monitor. Yes, this is sounding more like those superhero skits they used to have on Clive Anderson's improv show WLIIA?. Any minute, I expect Greg Proops to announce his presence as Captain Confusion.

Watched DVD season 1 boxset, and this show is just about what I'd expected... story-arc drama best appreciated by genre fans who don't read any superhero comics (and probably never did).

ANGEL (even THE CHAMPIONS) did that whole plain-clothes super-folks thing 1st and best, so once the 'newness' wears off, it's clear that HEROES simply lacks any fresh ideas.
:(

Hero's was vastly under-whelming: too many characters and sloppy world-building, relying on special effects and cheap emotional impact. I honestly don't know how people can be so head-over-heals in love with it.

Don't get me wrong. It wasn't bad as such. There are worse things out there. It was just, you know ... meh. Kind of fun to mock when watching, though.

Probably, if DVD boxset is only £20 again.
:)
