M. John Harrison says this about Spin:

“Nina Allan’s re-imagining of the Arachne myth, with its receding overlays of the modern and the antique, creates a space all its own. The scene is clean and minimal, the light Mediterranean, the story seems musing and sad: but by the last two pages, Spin has you in a grip that persists long after you put it down.”

That sounds good, when is it due out?
I really enjoyed the Eyepennies one.

It's gone to the printers. On Facebook, Andy said 'It's quite a slow process with this printer (so far) so it'll be a few weeks before you get it, and hopefully not *too* long.'

Because I've not read Spin yet, I've not read this yet... well, except for the bit at the end that says "recommended". :D

Spin has been with the printer so long I thought I'd send a quick "ETA?" email, only to discover that my rep had forgotten to raise the order. Not to worry, though, as they've promised a 29th April despatch, which means I should still be able to send it out with IZ246/BS34. Ideally, though, I would've liked to let the books settle for much longer beforehand. Oh well.

I'm promised "gold star service going forward". :-D

Spin was delivered last week as expected. Looks very nice. If you've pre-ordered you'll receive your copy in the IZ246/BS34 mailing.

If you haven't bought it yet you can do so for £6 UK/£7 Europe/£8 RoW, or subscribe to the first five novellas for just £25 post-free to anywhere in the world. Good looking, high quality B-format paperbacks, apparently at a third of the "going rate".

I started to read it. wow... I always had in my mind a "Black Widow old post-human" in her web chair, knitting and knitting... But I was very sad at this moment so I need to reread it to really appreciate it.
